Little is known about the nation of Draconia, besides this: A little over three thousand years ago there was a day recorded in the historic record of every known nation, culture, and village on Tharanthios. The names for this day vary, but all agree on one thing: the skies darkened for hours as an unceasing wave of creatures flew overhead, blotting out the sun. To most modern scholars and sages, this day is call the Day of the Dragons, for it was on that day that the sum total of the dragons across the world descended upon Tharanthios and settled within the confines of the continent’s center. Draconia does not maintain anything resembling relations with it’s neighbors, indeed many scholars wonder how a nation can exist at all when so many of the major inhabitants are powerful enough to rule continents by themselves. What is known is that there are two factions: Chromatic and Metallic. Each maintains a city of roughly ten thousand at opposite sides of the country where outsides can, for a fee, enter and discuss matters of trade, lore, or other various sundry things with the dragons or their representatives. For most, it is enough that the dragons keep to themselves. For those rare few who look towards Draconia and see something greater though, there is a different question: What force could draw so many dragons to a single place. And what power must it be using to keep them from destroying one another.
