-Lasarah, explaining her dalliances with a local farmboy to Fenwick & Temulin.
Lasara was born into nobility in the city of Edal. Her parents were lesser nobels obsessed with court politics and advancing their own social agenda. When Lasara was young she began seeing visions of vague beings she identified as her “friends” which lead to rumors the child was posessed. Her parents, fearing scandal, sent Lasarah to live with her aunt and uncle in the country. On the eve of her 10th birthday a traveling wizard happened upon the village and realized that Lasarah’s visions were in fact her picking up otherworldly creatures naturally. The wizard offered Lasarah’s family some money and purchased her, the family happy to be rid of the child that could be such a scandal. Veris, the wizard, gave Lasarah ruidementary training in magic but the situation didn’t last long. With the onset of puberty Lasarah’s powers increased dramatically and she became able to percieve things she hadn’t before, including evil sprits that now vied for her attention as they tried to use her as a conduit to cross over. The worst came nearly a year after Veris had taken her in, when she was posessed by a powerful demon and killed seveal people at a roadside inn before Verris himself intervened. In the ensuing magical crossfire Veris was killed but managed to banish the demon. Lasarah grew despondant upon awaking, and fled into the wilderness. There she would have likely died or succumbed to the various spirits were it not for “Deva” a powerful spirit she encountered who radiated wisdom and compassion. In Deva she found a true, if mysterious, friend and ally. She has lived ever since in the winderness at the fringes of civilization, a mysterious and enigmatic “wild witch” that locals fear and revile.
